Rose Geranium Thumbprint Cookies

  Ingredients:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg yolk
1½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
     Preheat oven to 400°F. Cream together cream cheese, butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla. Blend in egg yolk. Work flour and baking powder into creamed mixture. Mix well.
     With floured hands, break off small pieces of dough and roll into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten each one slightly using the bottom of a drinking glass.
     Press your thumb into the center of each cookie to make a thumbprint. Fill each indentation with ½ to 1 teaspoon of Rose Geranium Jelly (recipe follows). Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. (Recipe from Betty Mathers)
