Directions:
In a blender add the first 5 ingredients and blend well. Pour into a jar and stir in chopped basil. Chill for at least 2 hours. Select sweet, ripe fruits such as raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, pears, peaches, mangoes, grapes, Rainier cherries—anything in season. Place lettuce leaf on a plate. Arrange fruit artfully, cutting into bite-size pieces when necessary. Drizzle dressing over all. Garnish with basil leaves. If desired, tuck in a 1-ounce wedge of blue cheese on each plate. Makes 8 servings.
